In this time of transition to the Aquarian Age, we are witnessing the breakdown of old ideals from the Piscean era to make way for the new. It is a time of turmoil as we work to sort it all out. What is of value to bring forward? What has served its purpose and needs to be left behind?
One result of this transition is that we seem to be running without a compass these days. What values and standards do we hold dear that help us navigate through the change? Chaos, confusion, and dishonesty seem to be the “order” (or rather the “disorder”) of the day. What can a caring person do to help? What can we do, from our own little corner of the world, that might make a difference?
I am part of a spiritual group which has been working with the energy of a new slate of values to govern RELATING in the Aquarian Age. We know that by injecting the energy of these values into the system, we can help move things in a more constructive and hopeful direction. You can join us in this effort if you would like to.
All you need do is be willing to adopt one or more of these values as your own, and work towards applying it in your everyday life. It will take some time of course, but with enough of us working together, we can “move the mountain”. One does not need to be religious to relate to the following well-known biblical reference:
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you".
Could it be this verse can be applied to having faith in the power of ourselves, as Souls, as we take action to help ourselves? Could it be that we really can make a difference and bolster our faith by actively fostering a new value? The more of us that join in the effort, the greater the chances we will create something better. We do that through the power of our constructive thoughts and our collective will.
Which of these values appeals most to you? Each is offered with a basic definition, but please understand that these are a work-in-progress. They indicate a sense of direction more than a hard and fast set of “laws”. In fact, each of you is invited and encouraged to interpret these in your own words. I've added my own thoughts to each as well (in italics).
Aquarian Values for Right Relating
1. Goodwill – A sincere act towards making things better (action with the intention to do good and do no harm)
2. Truthfulness – An honest, heartfelt response (discourse without deception or deflection)
3. Common Sense – A considerate act of honoring another or others (honoring what is reasonable and rational)
4. Kindness – A generous act of compassion (generous sharing of Self)
5. Community – A cooperative act towards the common good (finding comfort and purpose in fellowship with others)
6. Common Respect – An act of acceptance towards all forms of life (fostering no judgement of one's own or another's journey)
7. Common Responsibility – A choice to decide between right and wrong (we're all in this together; let's each own our part)
Again, we are all invited to adopt one or more of these values and apply them in our everyday lives. If preferred, one can still help by making the choice to accept that they have their situation well in hand (and own it)! Or, by making the choice to heal.
Whatever way we choose, our choice for betterment is a choice to move forward; a choice to leave behind the pain of the past; a choice to rise up and say “I was that, but I am not anymore!”
