3 Spiritual Festivals
Every major religion across the globe has its annual holy days. We have Christmas and Easter for Christians in the West, Hannukah and Passover for the Jewish faith, Ramadan and Eid for Islam, Holi for Hindus, Lunar New Year in Asia, and so on. It is interesting to note that many of these holiday observances are associated with lunar cycles.
There are three other lesser-known spiritual festivals that are considered by the Ageless
Wisdom teachings to mark the spiritual high points of the year.
They too are associated with lunar cycles, and occur in the spring. It is anticipated that these festivals will become more widely recognized and celebrated as we move deeper into the new Aquarian era. (click on the links below to read more. . . )

Easter Festival
Wesak Festival
Christ's Festival (Festival of Goodwill)

The purpose of this series is to outline the nature of these three festivals and discuss how you can participate in them. But first, some background information.

Full Moons and Meditation
The full moon is often seen as a time of mysterious intrigue due to its influence on the Earth’s inhabitants. With the Sun’s energy being reflected off the surface of the moon, planetary life is being stimulated a little more than usual.

Sleep and emotions can be disrupted with this extra energy, but people also use the full moon to harness its positive qualities to enhance or improve certain things.

Some people like to energize their crystals and stones with the full moon energy, using it to clear and uplift the vibrational qualities. Others use the full moon as a time to meditate or manifest new thoughts or ideas to improve their life.
Many people use the full moon cycle as a time to connect and receive higher energies from their own internal system of divine guidance. Meaning, the time of the full moon is when higher intelligence is communicating something of value to human consciousness, offering an expanding awareness and understanding of ourselves and our purpose. By tuning into this communication, we open our minds by a willingness to receive this information.
The full moons for April, May and June are celebrated as the three major spiritual Festivals due to the specific energies that are being transmitted. These energies are said to represent a step-by-step process meant to stimulate and inspire the minds and hearts of humanity to manifest what many believe to be ‘heaven on earth,’ or the prophesied ‘thousand years of peace and prosperity.’

The Spiritual Hierarchy and Masters
The Earth is not here by accident and neither is humanity. There exists a greater plan, a greater purpose for the planet and oddly enough, humans are here to help. Developing human forms and evolving human consciousness to a high level of awareness is a big job and it takes a long time. To help this whole process move in a progressive and constructive direction, a group of individuals (who have all been human and get what it’s like down here) have committed to helping and assisting humanity in its process.
This group of individuals have mastered an understanding of how life works on the planet and is the reason these individuals are known as Masters – they have mastered an understanding of the bigger plan here and are assisting the rest of us to also become masters of our experience so we can join the party and help the planet with its mission.
We are all souls and we are all destined to be masters of the human condition. Through experience, we gain understanding but it’s pretty complicated and confusing here so we are given some assistance in the form of energetic or telepathic transmissions. The physical body is wired to receive energetic communication through the chakra system, but we as a thinker must properly align with our equipment in order to get the 411. Meditation and intuition are the spiritual internet connectors for humans.
The Spiritual Hierarchy are our spiritual brothers and sisters who want very much for humanity to succeed and prosper. They are our biggest cheer leaders, but they will not tell us what to do. They can only point the way to betterment, and it is all up to us to choose what we want to do with our life.
The Christ and The Buddha
As we consider the three festivals, we will include two major spiritual figures. . . The Christ and The Buddha. At the Festival of Easter and the Festival of Goodwill, The Christ is the central inspiration. At the Wesak Festival, the Christ is joined by The Buddha for an especially potent blessing, marking the highest spiritual point of the year.
The Ageless Wisdom teachings consider The Christ and The Buddha in ways that differ from traditional religious interpretations. Instead of being associated with a religion, both The Christ and The Buddha are considered avatars and teachers for all Humanity. As always, you are free to relate to these ideas as you see fit for yourself.
The Christ is known as The World Teacher. In addition to overshadowing Jesus two thousand years ago, he is believed to have incarnated as the Shri Krishna in India around 500 BCE. He is also known as the Lord Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, the Messiah; among other possible names.
While Christ is seen in the Christian traditions as the Son of God and the savior of mankind, in the esoteric traditions, He is seen as the Head of the Spiritual Hierarchy and the World Teacher. Through His teachings of right relationship and right understanding, He brings the energy of Love and Wisdom to all Humanity, enabling us to follow the path of redemption to “save” ourselves and the planet.
While we see ourselves as a human, with a physical form and a mind, we may not be aware of ourselves also as a Soul, with a spiritual side to our nature. As we grow spiritually, we begin to explore that side of ourselves, ultimately gaining enlightenment.
Christ is considered to be the first of humankind to advance to this very high state of spiritual development. He was the first among us to merge the two sides of His nature into One Being; matter and Spirit, human and Divine, functioning together as One. This is known as The Christ Consciousness.
As World Teacher, the Christ’s work is about passing along to the rest of us what he learned in his own journey, and to shine a light on the path ahead to our own advancement. His depth of understanding of the human experience is unparalleled. He can advise us with great wisdom and the utmost of compassion. With the power of His great love, He can assist us in discovering our collective destiny as Souls, and our purpose in being here.
As Alice Bailey writes. . . “to Him is committed the guidance of the spiritual destinies of men, and the development of the realization within each human being that he is a child of God and a son of the Most High.”

The Buddha came in about 500 years before the Christ. It is said that the Buddha came from outside the planetary system, having been enlisted to help Humanity with illumination. At that time, Humanity was somewhat “stuck”, from an evolutionary standpoint, in its form nature and suffering there, unable to open the way to its Soul.
The Buddha came in to immerse himself in the human experience, taking on a form and undergoing a range of life experiences from extreme material wealth to extreme material poverty. His aim was to come to a firsthand understanding of the human dilemma and determine its remedy, so that he could pass that on to us. As a result, he provided the Four Noble Truths, which eternally guide us to freedom from suffering through the release of attachments. It is through this pathway, that we can find our Soul and its Light.
It is said that The Buddha, while here on the planet, developed a deep affection for Humanity, and returns once each year, at the Wesak full moon, to offer his continued blessing and support.

Overview of the 3 Festivals
Easter Festival – April (Aries Full Moon)
The Forces of Renewal and Restoration are particularly active at the time of the Easter Festival. These Forces are said to emanate from the mind of God. Meaning there is a connection with the intelligence principle of the system which stimulates human intellect and mass intelligence. This energy stimulates people to think, plan, and take action. The activity produces neither good nor bad results, it simply stimulates one to take thoughtful action.
Wesak Festival – May (Taurus Full Moon)
The Forces of Enlightenment are active at the time of the Wesak Festival. These Forces are said to emanate from the heart of God and are related to divine understanding. This energy transmits the second principle of divinity, love-wisdom, of which the Buddha and the Christ are the two outstanding expressions.
Meditation at this full moon can connect one to the wisdom of their own heart which is linked into the greater divine principles referenced above and provide a greater understanding of ourselves.
Christ’s Festival – June (Gemini Full Moon)
The Forces of Reconstruction are active at the Christ’s Festival, also known as the Festival of Goodwill, which is the Festival of the Christ and of Humanity. The forces of reconstruction can increase the potency of the objectives of world unity, peace and progress have the effect of transforming the theory of unity into practical experience. Meditation at this full moon can inspire one’s desire to be of service and build attitudes of goodwill towards our fellow humans.
This Festival also marks the observance of World Invocation Day where people across the globe invoke the energies of Light, Love, and Purpose through a united approach.
