Wesak Festival
May (Taurus Full Moon)
ILLUMINATION
The Festival of Wesak
Wesak is the Festival of the Buddha, and it occurs annually during the Full Moon in May. Wesak is widely recognized in the East, and what is now just coming to light more publicly, is that during this time the Buddha and the Christ are in close cooperation and alignment with the Will of God, the Hierarchy and Humanity.
Buddha’s Background – The Enlightened One
It is said that the Buddha achieved enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. He had tried both extreme wealth and extreme poverty and found that he suffered in both.
“He distilled his life experiences into the Four Noble Truths and the revelation of the "Middle Way" to Truth and Buddha-hood.”
The Four Noble Truths
-
Suffering exists in living
-
The cause of suffering is attachment to what is desired
-
By ceasing attachment to desire we cease suffering
-
The Noble Eightfold Path is the way
“It is this Noble Eightfold Path of healthy relationships which can lead to the cessation of suffering not just for humanity, but ultimately for our planet and all lives upon it.”
Steps on the Eightfold Noble Path
-
Right Values
-
Right Speech
-
Right Mode of Living
-
Right Thinking
-
Right Aspiration
-
Right Conduct
-
Right Effort
-
Right Rapture or True Happiness
By following and teaching this path the Buddha has accepted a very prominent position within the planetary scheme of our Earth, aligning him for a very important role during the Full Moon in Taurus.
Buddha’s Role During the Wesak Ceremony
According to the Wisdom traditions, the Buddha serves as an enlightened energetic intermediary who pours forth illumination. The energies flow as follows:
-
Shamballa, the center where the Will of God is Known
-
The Buddha
-
The Christ
-
The Hierarchy
-
Humanity
“At the exact moment of the Taurus full moon, the Buddha is said to return momentarily to earth, appearing to those gathered in a secluded valley in the Himalayas who are able to see him. Some have dreamt of being present at the ceremony. The Christ stands before the Buddha and, in a moment brimming with vitality and significance, receives the Buddha’s blessing on behalf of humanity, before turning and radiating this blessing out to the assembled gathering and to all human beings.”
Through this energetic stepping down, the Buddha is able to share divine purpose with Humanity in the form of Illuminations. Illumination is the opportunity for Humanity during the Spiritual high point of the year during the Wesak Festival.
Spiritual Illumination for a Better Life
Illumination pours out from Buddha to the Christ to the mind of humanity and we want to catch that energy within our energy field. We want to become receptacle for illumination. Like a solar panel being waiting expectantly for the sun to shine upon it, only it’s the light from the Buddha.
Illumination brightens your pathway so you can live your Soul purpose on Earth. One surprising effect of receiving illumination, is that it allows you to see reality in ways – perhaps – you haven’t seen it before. There may be a topic, challenge, or question you used to see one way, and now you see, with new light the true reality of the situation. And with this new understanding, you can chart a new course for your life, small or great.
“The new light is on its way. The annual Wesak blessing plays a crucial role in the coming of that light.”
